Mallorca has two sides, one that is a tourist resort and one that is a genuinely beautiful Spanish Mediterranean island. There are large national parks and long beautiful stretches of coastline with small cozy hotels, beaches and outdoor cafes. Out in the countryside on this beautiful Mediterranean island lies our equestrian center and stud. Your hosts, Pilar and her sister Francina, have many years experience in the breeding of Andalusian horses (PRE, Pura Rasa Espanola). They offer high-quality equestrian holidays, in a relaxing environment where the staff, guests and horses thrive. Between rides, it's lovely to lie by the pool and enjoy the sun.

This is your chance to experience dressage in a beautiful warm setting. Between rides, you can lie by the pool and enjoy the sun, while you watch riders being trained in the paddocks.

Many people are fond of the Andalusian horse, as it is both beautiful and enjoyable to ride.

On this program you will learn to ride with as little aids as possible. The Andalucian’s sensitivity and working ability makes it an excellent teacher. Even very experienced riders can develop bad habits. For example, if your seat is slightly askew when you canter, the horse will not canter but rather move sideways. However, by doing it correctly, you immediately get the right response. When successful, you will feel like you are dancing with your horse.

The riding begins on Mondays.

Program: The program includes 8 hours of dressage lessons during the week. During the months of April, May, June and September you will enjoy a countryside trail ride with a snack on the area of Son Negre (duration 4 hours and a half). During the other months you will do a 2h trail in the countryside plus 1.5h dressage lesson. On the day when there is no riding, you will enjoy a day to relax and visit Portocolom Bay.

Saturday ends with a last lesson in the morning and then you have the afternoon free to lounge by the pool, have a massage or even book an extra lesson before the farewell dinner in the evening. The groups are small with normally 1-2 riders and maximum. 

The horses are highly trained and you will practice shoulder in, leg yielding, flying changes and, if you’re ready, maybe even piaff. You will be riding on a stallion or gelding depending on what you and your instructor feels is best.

This is both an instructive and a fantastically enjoyable week!

Do you want it all? Dressage on fantastic Andalucian horses, riding through amazing scenery and last but not least, jumping and flatwork?
Then this is the program for you. You will have the best possible holiday by combining riding training, with sun, sea and good food and drink.

Program: You will get 4½ hours of flatwork / jumping lessons (up to about 90cm), 3 hours of dressage lessons on beautiful dressage horses. During April, May, June and September, this program includes a 4.5 hours of trail along the countryside. During the other months a 2h trail in the countryside plus 1.5h flatwork/ jumping lesson.

This program covers a wide range of people looking to gain more confidence in the saddle. Whether completely new to the world of horses, an intermediate looking to improve their skills, or an experienced rider returning to the sport after a long absence, this programme will help you find your footing and allow you to leave with new skills and memories. This program is particularly well-suited to families who want to ride together and enjoy time on horseback with their children.

Those who choose this package will ride 6 hours of lessons and 6 hours of trail ride, with trail rides ranging from 1 to 2 hours. Between rides you can lie by the pool and enjoy the sun or watch other riders being trained in the arenas.

Accommodation and Food

You live in nice Standard double rooms (15m2 + balkong) with shower / wc or in bigger Superior rooms with shower/wc (26 m2 + balkong). In the rooms, there is a mini bar, telephone, central heating, TV and ceiling fan. The farm also has a nice swimming pool. There is a computer with Internet access in the dining room that you can use. Singles: It is possible to book a single room (price for single supplement available under Dates & Prices). If there is no one to share a room with, a single supplement will be added.

The food is Spanish and very good. For dinner, you will be served three dishes, soup or salad for an appetizer, meat or fish main course and a dessert to round out your meal.

Horses

Many people are fond of the Andalusian horse, as it is both beautiful and enjoyable to ride. Its sensitivity and working ability makes it an excellent teacher.

There are horses of all ages from young foals to the old breeding mares. There are about 60 horses, of which 40 are Andalusians and the rest Spanish crosses.

You groom and tack up your horse before the lessons (included in the lesson time).

Travel: Book flight/rental car >> 
Fly to Palma airport.  

Transfer: Book in advance with HorseXplore and pay on spot.
From Palma airport to the Riding Centre.
Price: 4 persons 25€ p.p and way.
3 persons 30€ p.p and way.
2 persons 45€ p.p and way.
1 person 60€ p.p and way.
Meeting: meeting point is at the exit (gate 4). The taxi driver carries a sign with the customers name, or with the name of the riding centre.

Arrival: Sundays, any time during the day but the program begins with dinner on Sunday evening. which is served any time between 19 and 21.00 h,  and ends after breakfast the following Sunday. The room is ready for check in at 3.00 pm. Check out 12.00

Tax: Nowadays every guest has to pay an Eco Tax established by Balear Government. The tax is 1 EUR per night and person and is paid directly to the riding center. 

Single room: Can be booked with a supplement. For price click on ”Book on request” under Dates & prices. If there is no one to share a room with, a single supplement will apply.
